Services

16 of 16 listed services have been validated, with memory floors measured on 2026-10-28.

What is in the catalogue?

A floor is the smallest memory at which the service booted and passed its own checks. It is not a sizing recommendation. Each service name links to its evidence.

Pill: how far the service has been tested. Bar: smallest memory it ran in (32 to 128 MB scale).

Database
redb (Rust)64 MBValidatedCrash-tested: 3,535 of 3,535 acknowledged writes survived 10 forced stops.
SurrealDB
Database
SurrealDB 3 (SurrealKV)96 MBValidatedHeavier writes and queries were not probed at the floor; budget more for real use.
libSQL
Database
sqld (libSQL)64 MBValidatedFloor was probed once.
Analytical SQL
Database
DuckDB with the Quack extension128 MBValidatedServer-side loads fit the floor; clients that upload bulk data need more memory. The gateway rejects request bodies above about 8 MB.
Lakehouse tables
Database
DuckLake on DuckDB128 MBValidatedSingle writer. Below 128 MB the VM panics under larger queries.
Messaging

NATS 2.1564 MBValidatedSmall-workload floor. Use 128 MB or more for real traffic.

Meilisearch 1.5696 MBValidatedIndexing needs more memory than serving queries alone; see the evidence.

Where do these numbers come from?

Floors were probed on the production microVM runtime on 2026-10-28 by running each product's own test suite at decreasing memory sizes. Each figure comes from a single probe series. Read how we measure, or see what a memory floor is.
